Task:
Rapid elimination of the consequences of deformations of aboveground structures in the administrative building with excessive uneven subsidence of foundations by strengthening the soil base.
Input data:
Previously performed surveys of this and adjacent objects revealed the presence of different granular composition in the base of sandy soils with suffusion softening of individual layers due to water flows. Previous labor-intensive and costly measures in the form of strengthening the base by pouring concrete did not give the desired result.
Goal:
Ensuring normal operating conditions in the administrative building due to repair work, including strengthening the soil at the base of the foundations in an effective way.
Applied technologies:
The solution to the problem was provided by an effective method by GeoResin Deep Lifting technology, which provides the injection of a polymer composition into the soil at different depths, which quickly hardens and, when expanded, compresses the soil at this pressure and even raises the settled foundations with aboveground structures. In total, the polymer mixture was injected at 181 points at different levels under the soles of the foundations of internal and external load-bearing walls.
Result:
The quality of soil hardening and the lifting of sunken foundations with wall structures by an average of 0.5 mm was verified by dynamic soil sounding before and after the soil hardening. During the work, the process was monitored using laser monitoring equipment. As a result of the project implementation, the effectiveness of the measures taken by a third-party independent organization was confirmed. The work lasted for 6 working days.
